PAMELA CLAFLIN

Pamela Claflin is a Pacific Northwest painter whose work is deeply rooted in the landscapes of Oregon and the surrounding region. Inspired by forests, rivers, and open terrain, her paintings reflect a longstanding connection to nature and a desire to preserve its beauty through observation and interpretation.

Working primarily in oil with both brush and palette knife, Pamela creates compositions that balance structure with softness, capturing the shifting light and atmosphere of the natural world. Her approach is informed by decades of study, including extensive workshops and training with influential instructors connected to the Russian painting tradition.

Pamela’s career also includes significant contributions to the arts community as a gallery owner and curator in Central Oregon. Now focused on painting full time, she continues to explore and interpret the Northwest landscape with a practiced and thoughtful hand.
