MOLLIE JURGENSON

Mollie Jurgenson is a Bend, Oregon artist whose work explores textural, impressionistic, and abstract landscapes shaped by the light and terrain of the Pacific Northwest. Born and raised in the Bay Area, she grew up surrounded by contemporary art, a foundation that helped guide her creative path. After moving to Central Oregon in 1993, the region’s open skies and dramatic landforms became central to her visual language.

Working primarily at a large scale, Jurgenson moves fluidly between impressionistic and abstract forms, often incorporating finely crushed glass to create distinct texture and depth. Her practice is rooted in experimentation and intuitive mark making, leading to compositions that feel both atmospheric and tactile. Over the past two decades she has exhibited widely, and her work can be found in private and commercial collections across the country and abroad.
