JUDY STEJSKAL

Judy Lee’s watercolor practice grew from a lifelong habit of noticing. After more than three decades teaching English, she returned to the creative influence of her childhood and began painting in earnest, drawn to watercolor for its transparency and movement. What began as exploration quickly became a devoted practice shaped by study, mentorship, and time spent outdoors.

Her work centers on landscape, water, and wildlife. From expansive skies to intimate riverbanks, she paints with a sensitivity to atmosphere and shifting light. Living and traveling across varied regions of the country has informed her palette and perspective, but her work remains grounded in a simple intention: to honor the quiet presence of the natural world.
