This class will introduce students to the basics of drawing costume and drapery. Emphasis will be placed on understanding how line works to create the structure of folds on the human figure. We will start studying the basic gesture and forms of a professional clothed figure drawing model as a basis for learning how to draw. This class will give students a better sense of how to design and simplify drapery when drawing from life, reference, or imagination.
