The Art of Drawing in Charcoal

Try this fun, freeing and sometimes messy medium! We will be drawing in the medium of charcoal. Foundational principles of drawing are taught while creating a variety of drawings using various forms of charcoal on specific paper for charcoal. You’ll learn the materials, tools and surfaces for drawing with charcoal. We will learn basic techniques like blending, layering, erasing and rendering. The lesson will focus on observational drawing , learning to draw what you see using this time honored medium.
